Kim Smith entered the structured settlement industry in 1989 with a strong foundation in insurance and accounting. Her ability to work closely with claims professionals, attorneys, life insurance companies, and plaintiffs has led to deep familiarity with every aspect of the settlement process and a successful long-standing partnership with Len Blonder.

With over three decades of experience, Kim brings added value in both qualified and non-qualified cases. She is known for her tenacity and innovative solutions in complex matters, always focusing on the long-term needs of the clients she serves. Kim has deep expertise in medical malpractice cases, particularly in evaluating verdict potential under MICRA in California and similar statutes in other states.
Licenses/Certifications:
Kim was among the first to earn the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) designation and later earned the Certified Medicare Settlement Specialist (CMSS™) designation as part of Arcadia’s inaugural class.
Education:
Kim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a Master’s Degree in Psychology, both from Antioch University.

A recognized leader in the industry, Kim served as Chair of the NSSTA Education Committee in 2004 and continues to present extensively alongside Len for insurance carriers, law firms, and professional associations.
