A broad range of experience in all types of injury claims, a deep understanding of the financial issues confronted by injured parties and their families, compassion, and empathy make Doug Powers a valued member of any settlement team. Based in Seattle, Washington, Doug primarily works in the Western United States. However, he is happy to personally accommodate any situations that require his talents no matter the location. Experience:

With over 20 years of experience in the Insurance and Financial Services industry, Doug Powers brings a wealth of diverse experience to the settlement process. Since joining Arcadia Settlements Group in 2000, Doug has gained extensive experience in cases ranging from small cases involving injured minors to catastrophic cases involving injured parties of all ages. In 1992, Doug began his insurance career at SAFECO Insurance after serving 8 years in the US Air Force. As a Casualty Claims Adjuster he gained experience in evaluating the complex issues of liability; often catastrophic injuries; and tricky insurance coverage matters involving both Personal-Lines and Commercial-Lines Policies. Doug particularly distinguished himself in his capacity as Vice President of Puget Structured Benefits Agency Inc. In this role, Doug coordinated all structured settlement activities for SAFECO Claims in the Northwest Region.

Licenses/Certifications:

Life, Health, and Disability Insurance Producer licenses in multiple states. USCG Master. Doug also earned the designation of Certified Medicare Settlement Specialist (CMSS™) at the inaugural class, March 2016.

Education:

BA in Mathematics from Minot State University, Minot, North Dakota. Minor: Business Administration.
