Expertise:

Thomas Adams is a Settlement Consultant who joined the St. Louis office in 2005 and has become an important member of the St. Louis Team. His background in claims handling has provided him with the expertise to handle Workers’ Compensation, Medical Malpractice and General Liability cases. Tom negotiates structured settlements cases nationwide for defense clients in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Liability, and self-insured entities.  He provides risk assessments for Workers’ Compensation and Liability claims. His detailed knowledge of the use and implementation of Medicare Set-Aside allocations has served him well in resolving Workers’ Compensation cases for both insurance carriers and self-insured entities.

Experience:

Prior to joining Arcadia Settlements Group, Tom held the position of Sales Consultant for a nationwide vendor of MSA allocations. He began his career with the insurance industry at Newsam-Harp General Adjusters in 1994 and concluded his 11-year claims handling career with Hawkeye Security Insurance.

Licenses/Certifications:

Tom holds his life, health, and disability license in multiple states.

Education:

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Missouri, St. Louis, and has his Associates in Claims (AIC) designation from the insurance industry.  In March of 2016, Tom earned the Certified Medicare Settlement Specialist (CMSS™) designation in Arcadia’s inaugural class.

He is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) and he is a past Officer of the Greater St. Louis Claims Association.
