Celebrating over 25 years in the industry, Paulette Jacobsmeier is a dynamic and highly experienced structured settlement consultant. She has handled thousands of cases and built a strong, nationwide network of claim professionals, attorneys, mediators and other industry specialists. But the most important thing she has done is build trust. Tempering considerable expertise with a rare ability to speak to the human side of the issue, Paulette works hard supporting defendants and their insurers to mitigate risk; and most importantly, to help injured people put their lives back together, even if only financially.
Experience:
Paulette has extensive experience in commercial, general, product and auto liability, workers’ compensation, construction and medical malpractice claims. Since joining Arcadia Settlements Group in 2006, the depth of her expertise has reached further into the specialized area of non-qualified transactions, including sexual torts, New York Labor Law 240 and structured attorney fees.
In the liability practice arena, she has worked with various national carriers and self-insured companies. Paulette is an approved structured settlement broker for carriers such as Chubb, Allstate, AIG, IAT, Berkshire Specialty, CNA and AXA XL.
In the workers’ compensation practice arena, she has worked with various carriers, self-insured companies and third-party administrators (TPAs). Paulette has worked with clients such as Chubb, AIG, IAT, CNA, AXA XL, Broadspire, Gallagher Bassett, Sedgwick, ICW Group, CorVel, CCMSI and ESIS.
Additionally, Paulette has settled hundreds of workers’ compensation claims around the country, working with carriers and third-party administrators handling claims on behalf of employers nationwide. She is practiced in offering cost-saving settlement solutions for the indemnity portion of a claim, the MSA (Medicare Set-Aside) or both components of settlement. In 2017, Paulette solidified her experience in this arena by obtaining the CMSS® (Certified Medicare Settlement Specialist) and WCSS® (Workers’ Compensation Settlement Specialist) certificates.
Paulette believes strongly that fully educating all participants during the settlement process leads to informed decisions. An enthusiastic presenter, Paulette is frequently sought after for speaking engagements and training sessions, including CE courses, on topics ranging from “Structured Settlement Basics” to “Economic Loss Analysis,” and “Structured Settlements in the New Economy.”
In 2015, Ms. Jacobsmeier became one of the first practitioners in the country to earn a Master Certificate in Structured Settlement Consulting (MSSC) designation from the University of Notre Dame and the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA). Paulette is a graduate of Loyola University with a B.A. in Business Administration.
Combining her interest in philanthropy and fitness, Paulette is the founder of Arcadia’s annual “5K Walk, Wheel or Run” which is now an annual event that has raised over $10,000 for charity since its inception in 2009.

Born and raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa, Paulette is a long-time resident of Chicago. It is her Chicago base that easily enables in-person engagements throughout the United States. Ms. Jacobsmeier is an avid photographer and travel enthusiast who has reached destinations as Dubai, Belize, Beijing, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Cuba, Cambodia and Vietnam.
