Mr. Kaufman’s expertise is in negotiating structured settlements for liability, workers’ compensation and medical malpractice cases. He conducts specialized training for negotiations using structured settlements and training for settling workers’ compensation claims using medical trusts and Medicare Set-Asides.

Experience:

Harold’s insurance career began in 1971 with Northwestern Mutual Life. In 1983, he left Northwestern Mutual Life to work for Kenneth H. Wells & Associates, a predecessor company of Arcadia. He has more than 30 years’ experience in negotiating structured settlements. For several years, Harold was an Officer and Director of the company, guiding its growth and helping build its reputation as the one of the finest companies in the industry.

Education:

Harold obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designation in 1977 from the American College. He holds his life, health, and disability licenses in multiple states.

Harold obtained his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Denver.

Harold is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA).

Personal Information:

Harold is very active in his community. He was elected to the Dana Point City Council in 1994, and was elected Mayor of the city for the 2000-2001 term.
