Len Blonder has structured settlement experience that dates back to the inception of the structured settlements industry in 1978. Len is well known and respected as one of the leaders in the industry, having worked on over 10,000 cases, settling for billions of dollars. He has been active in the structured settlements industry from a national perspective, championing the cause to protect the tax-free nature of structured settlement payments when they were specifically targeted during the tax reform efforts of 1984 and 1985.

His lobbying efforts ultimately led to the development of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA). Len has served a combined total of 18 years on the trade association’s Board of Directors since its inception and is embarking on an unprecedented third term as President in April of 2016. Len has served as chairman of the Legislation and Regulations Committee, focusing on key issues to protect the safety and security of plaintiff’s future periodic payments. Len’s efforts in leading the Integrity Casualty Company bankruptcy task force assured that structured settlement payments would not be diverted to creditors, but remain in the hands of the structured settlement beneficiaries.

Throughout his career, Len has placed his focus on responding to any change that may have a negative impact on the injured parties who most benefit from structured settlements, working diligently with the legal community to assure that the all parties have a clear understanding of the unique benefits that structured settlements provide.
